There was a minor upset when second-best PortugueseRio Maior (2-4) was defeated by fourth ranked British Sheffield College (7-2) 81-68 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Sheffield College. Rio Maior managed to win second period 22-20 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sheffield College forced 19 Rio Maior turnovers and had a 33-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Kelvin Talbot who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Portuguese forward Joao Prado (196-2008) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four Sheffield College players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Martim Sanches who recorded 25 points and Jose Santos added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Sheffield College have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 7-2 record. Loser Rio Maior keeps the second place with four games lost.
